Nishant Shakya

Nishant Shakya is a Kathmandu based pianist who has been actively working in the Nepali music scene for the past few years. He is currently involved in composing and performing with his band, Nanashi. He is the recipient of the Echoes In The Valley Emerging Artist Fellowship with Nanashi. He has been working with different projects, namely Newaz, and Grasstunes, and also as a session artist with different artists like Bhaskar Swar, Anil Rai, Kristina Allen. Besides this, he has also been working as a music educator at the Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory where he is currently the piano faculty for the pop/rock diploma. He also recently completed his Higher Diploma in music from Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory.
