Nirajan Tandukar

Nirajan Tandukar is a musician, drummer, and music educator from Lalitpur, Nepal. He began studying drums at Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory in 2012 and has been giving drum lessons since 2015. He got a scholarship from Dr. Matthew Warnock to study at KJC. As a scholarship student, he got many opportunities to perform with mainstream musicians, national and international, and also got teaching experience. Nirajan has previously played drums as a member of bands like Doxy Ltd, Le Piro, Speakeasy, April Rush, and Silver Serenade. He is currently active as the drummer in a band "VOODOO U" To date, Nirajan has performed at several national and international concerts and gigs including KJC Nepal Army Big Band in Jazzmandu (2015, 2016, 2017), Katjazz Festivals which happens every year by the end of April as Jazz appreciation month, and the 10th Annual Sundance Music Festival at The Last Resort with Doxy Ltd (2015). He won the “Jazz for the next generations 2014” competition with his band Doxy Ltd and attended the Thailand Jazz Workshop (2017, 2018) at Rangsit University. He is endorsed by Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals, and Vater Drumsticks from Harmonium Musical.
